Haze formation in beer is not a new phenomenon and can arise in beers for a variety of reasons. But it isn’t yeast.

BrewDog beers are produced with a massive amount of hops and malted barley, which both contribute 100% natural compounds known as polyphenols (tannins) and proteins to the finished beer. These can occasionally form a haze as the beer ages and/or is exposed to either higher or fluctuating temperatures.

BrewDog beers are not stabilized, nor supplemented with any process aids that help bind haze forming compounds. Neither are our beers pasteurized. It is known that many of these stabilization methods may contribute to flavour stripping, and flavour is of upmost importance for us.

Our advice: keep your beer cool and drink fresh for maximum enjoyment!
